Recently, work introduced some after-hours drawing classes for a few of us. The idea was to get us back in touch with the basics of hand drawing and visualisation skills. We spend 7.5 hours everyday in front of a screen, putting lines on the page with the aid of various programmes. It was easy to get lost in the technology and forget the original ways of placing a pen against paper.
The classes were a great way to relax and were incredibly therapeutic. It reminded me how much I enjoyed doing black and white drawings, and encouraged me to take a few hours a day and draw something.
Below are a few drawings I did as part of a ‘tiny terrarium’ series. At least, they started off as terrariums. I may have ended up drawing something in a teapot at one point.

Tiny stilt house in a terrarium

Tiny Tunku Abdul Aziz mosque in a terrarium

Tiny toilet in a terrarium
