Adaptive Re-use: Historic Fabric

B.Env_Des
We were given a garment each and were told to give it new life based on its history. This concept was then applied to the existing abandoned gasworks building in the city of Launceston, Tasmania.
 Garment Description

Instead of giving it a new function, I decided to emphasise the history of the garment, telling the wearer of the love the previous owner had shared with his wife. As for the gasworks building, having once fuelled the city with gas, its revival meant fuelling the city with food via the implementation of an indoor vertical garden and market place.
